The season’s winding down and it’s time for reflection. It wasn’t the season we’d hoped for in the East, but it was still pretty good and an Olympic year to boot. According to the www.snowskills.net staff, here are the Top Five Moments from Winter 2005 - 2006:

5. The strong snows in the east in early winter.
4. The strong snows in the west in late winter.
3. Four medals in Snowboarding Half-Pipe at Torino 2006.
2. Darren Ralves winning the Super G in his last race at the U.S. Alpine Championships at Sugarloaf/USA, followed by his retirement party later that night at Seth Wescott’s brewpub.

And the No. 1 Winter 2005 - 2006 Top Moment:

1. Seth Wescott winning the gold medal in Men’s Snowboard Cross at Torino 2006.
